Cotts Farm Equine Hospital: surgery imageArthroscopy is the name for keyhole surgery of joints, whilst tenoscopy is the name for keyhole treatment of tendon sheathes; both use the same equipment. Numerous indications for surgery exist in the horse. Cases operated at Cotts Farm have included developmental orthopaedic disease (osteochondrosis dissecans, OCD), ligament injuries, meniscal injuries, septic arthritis/tenosynovitis and osteoarthritis.

This shows tenoscopy of the digital flexor tendon sheath, behind the fetlock joint.
