Cotts Farm is a stone farmhouse situated next to the A40. The Equine Clinic consist of 3 large barns in an acre of land behind this farmhouse.
From the Carmarthen direction, heading West on the A40 – we are 12 miles from St. Clears. The Clinic is 1.7 miles after passing the Penblewin roundabout, where the A478 crosses the A40. Cotts Farm is on the left at the bottom of the hill.
From the Haverfordwest direction, heading East on the A40 – we are 8 miles from Haverfordwest. After going through the village of Robeston Wathen, Cotts Farm is at the bottom of the hill, 50yds passed a lay-by on the left. We are on the right.
STOP PRESS: please be especially careful when arriving and leaving the clinic. On 2nd October 2008, two cars were involved in an accident outside the clinic. This was the result of an eastbound collision between a car overtaking another car turning right into the clinic. Thankfully there were no serious injuries but both cars were written off. The Trunk Road Commission of the Welsh Assembly have consistently refused to implement any warning signs or traffic calming measures on the A40 in the vicinity of Cotts Farm, despite the national speed limit and favourable visibility conditions for overtaking.
Assume cars will attempt to overtake outside the clinic, and that cars will approach two-abreast from either direction. Look both ways, signal early and check behind you before turning across the carriageway.
