Cotts Farm Equine Hospital: sinus surgerySinus surgery

The vast majority of sinus and dental surgery is performed in the standing patient without the need for general anaesthesia. However, some conditions affecting the sinus are still more easily and safely approached with the patient asleep. This horse was suffering from recurrent sinusitis. It made a good recovery from surgery and has not shown any further signs of disease.
