Professional Biography

James qualified in veterinary medicine and surgery from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in July 2014. Following graduation he worked for a small animal practice in Bedford before joining us here at Cotts in November 2014 to start his equine internship.

Originally from North Staffordshire, James grew up riding and enjoyed competing with British Eventing and hunting with the North Staffordshire Hunt before starting at university, he still enjoys riding in his spare time as well as fitness and travelling.

Janine Terschuur – Resident In Equine Surgery

Janine was born and raised in Spain with German and Dutch parents, graduating as a vet in Madrid in 2016. She worked for a short period in an equine referral hospital in Madrid before moving to the US where she completed an 18 month internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. After this she assisted at the University of Cambridge equine hospital before moving to West Wales in March 2019 to start a 3 year ECVS Residency in Equine Surgery under the supervision of Richard Coomer. 

A passionate cake baker, when not in the kitchen she is usually to be found walking the coast along with her dog, kite surfing, rock climbing and generally being outdoors.
