Situated on the south side of the building and with stunning views, this room houses the stocks. Most patients presented to Cotts Farm pass through these stocks. Examination of emergency cases, endoscopy, ultrasound, and standing surgery is all performed here.
Horses undergoing general anaesthesia are also prepared for surgery here. The padded recovery room opens 3 metres from the stocks, giving emergency cases minimal distance to travel if they need surgery.
This room opens off the main treatment room. It is equipped with specially-designed low-level lighting to help vets when performing nerve and joint blocks during lameness examination. It also houses the JMB-inspected practice measuring pad.
