Our Internal Medicine service is provided by a board-certified equine medicine consultant, a Diplomate of both the European College of Equine Internal Medicine and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Services include;

24/7 emergency referral service
Gastrointestinal disease – including gastroscopy, colic, diarrhoea and liver disease
Respiratory disease – including coughing, asthma and respiratory infections
Cardiovascular disease – including heart murmurs and arrhythmias
Ophthalmic disease
Neurological disease
Metabolic disease – including PPID and Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS)
Investigation of muscle loss, weakness and tying-up
Urinary tract disease – including kidney and bladder disorders
Neonatal medicine – including foaling emergencies, sick foals and umbilical hernias
Advise on nutrition, worming and vaccination

We have two dedicated isolation stables for patients under investigation and treatment of contagious disease.
