Our team offer routine and advanced dentistry services as well as referrals from Equine Dental Technicians (EDTs) and other veterinary surgeons. The primary aim of the routine dental examination is to identify problems and to prevent disease from occurring, as with human medicine this should be performed every 6-12 months.

Services include:

Thorough dental and oral examination using an oral speculum
Reduction of sharp points or overgrowths using modern motorised equipment
Balancing the dental arcades
Extraction of wolf teeth
Investigation of oral pain
Investigation and treatment of diastema (abnormal spaces between teeth)
Extraction of diseased incisors, canines and cheek teeth
Sinus surgery – including trephination and sinus flap surgery
Maxillofacial surgery – including mandibular fracture repair

Our team are able to examine horses using sedation which allows a more thorough assessment to be performed and makes the procedure safer for the horse, owner and veterinary surgeon.
