John Edwards
MA Vet MB Cert EP MRCVS
Although raised in Essex, John is a welsh boy at heart and after graduating in Veterinary medicine at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, followed his dream of returning to his roots and joined Fenton vets in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
A return to England in 2001 with Rossdales and Partners Equine hospital in Newmarket allowed him to develop his experience in equine anaesthesia, imaging and lameness investigation, before returning once again to Fenton to develop the equine side of the business alongside Graham. Recognising the growing need for a specialist practice in the area, together they started Cotts Farm Equine Clinic in October 2005, which became an RCVS-accredited tier 3 Equine hospital in early 2010.
Professional interests include the treatment of performance horses, especially showjumpers, and lameness investigation.
John was an avid (and successful) rugby player, but after hanging up his boots, can now be found fishing, sharing his passion for the countryside and playing the piano akin to Les Dawson. Gregarious by nature, our clients enjoy John’s endless chat and warm approach.
In his words….
“We are fortunate to have a team that are well-motivated and keen, who help and support each other to achieve the best results, and create a happy and collaborative environment. It has been an honour to see Cotts grow and go from strength to strength and I am excited about the years to come as we move forward to the next phase.”
