Chris is an ACVS and ECVS Board Certified Specialist Equine and Large Animal Surgeon. Originally from Australia, he graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008.

He undertook a surgical residency at Charles Sturt University in 2013, and while there, completed a doctorate looking at the complications of surgical methods of castration, and comparison of various post-operative protocols.

Chris then worked in a racehorse focused surgical practice in Toowoomba, Queensland, before joining the surgical service at Bristol University Teaching Hospital, Langford.

In 2020 Chris established South West Equine Referral Practice in Devon, before joining us in 2024 to help develop the Cowbridge hospital.

Chris's clinical interests include colic and caesarean surgery, airway surgery, fracture repair, minimally invasive surgery and reproductive surgery.
