Physiotherapist
Naomi Smith graduated from Nottingham University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and worked in the NHS and private practice in the UK and overseas in musculoskeletal physiotherapy prior to training to specialise in animals.
She qualified as a Cat A member of ACPAT in 2003 having completed her specialist training in the UK with a number of well known and respected Physiotherapists, Including the Rio 2016 Olympic Equestrian team physiotherapist Rachel Greetham. Naomi J H Smith Equine Physiotherapy Consultancy was set up in Cardiff in 2003.
She is fully qualified to treat both animal and humans, and is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) ACPAT. Naomi has a special interest in equines, particularly back pain. To this end, she works closely with us and is regularly on site.
She is a clinical educator for Chartered Physiotherapists working towards Masters level specialism at either Hartpury College UWE or Liverpool University.
